Our Principles

Our main principle is on achieving a true democracy. Democracy, within America and Ohio, has always lacked equity and equality across our various subcultures, backgrounds, and general differences. We would like to change that. Our shared goal is to establish a true democracy- for all people.

To gain the ability to establish a true democracy, we must strive for consistent growth and understanding. By truly learning, comprehending, confronting our subconscious bias, and embracing progressive ideals we, as a people, are better able to model our ability to respect one another. Thus promoting inclusivity and shared equity.

The ability to push towards a better future will take more than just our non profit, Mayday Coalition, here in Ohio. We have already begun collaborative efforts with other organizations, non-profits, and grassroot campaigns. We have a shared goal: True Democracy.

Our fight to build an amazing vision and democracy for all people will take consistent efforts. We must stay active in participation, both physically and mentally. Physically, we must show up by taking part in activism through march, protest, phone calls, email, and other points of contact. Mentally, we must remain calm, collected, peaceful, knowledgeable, and strong. Offer to support one another when those principles are weakened.

The goal, at the end of the day, is for a true and viable future for all.
